When we started Indie, every owner we met said the same thing: the front desk is drowning. Calls going to voicemail. Forms not getting filled out. Twenty to thirty percent of inbound demand just… evaporating. And the tools available weren't built for them — they were built for billing departments and enterprise health systems.
That matters because roughly a quarter of every dollar in US healthcare already goes to admin, and at least half of that is waste. The independent practice eats that tax with a smaller team and thinner margins than anyone else. Lose enough of them and you lose the most accountable, most local layer of American healthcare.
